Experience
Begin your day with a quiet step into Balinese tradition at the in-house Segara Temple, where centuries-old customs still live through the care of local landowners. In this sacred space you’ll craft vibrant offerings rich with meaning and intention—Canang Sari, small handwoven palm-leaf baskets filled with flowers and incense placed daily at shrines, and Gebogan, towering arrangements of fruit and flowers carried on the heads of Balinese women during temple ceremonies. Led by Bapak Mangku, the temple’s spiritual guide, take part in a Melukat water blessing, releasing what no longer serves you and welcoming a sense of clarity and peace. The experience closes with the tying of the Tridatu bracelet, a powerful symbol of protection and spiritual connection. This is more than a ritual—it’s a day of stillness, insight, and quiet transformation.
Itinerary
Temple Awakening
Explore Alila’s own Segara Temple, where stories of the land and spiritual legacy are shared with care and meaning.
Offerings with Intention
Create two meaningful offerings: Canang Sari, daily floral blessings of gratitude, and Gebogan, ceremonial towers of fruit and flowers made for temple rituals.
Waters of Renewal
Participate in a Melukat water blessing led by Bapak Mangku, the temple priest, to cleanse and recalibrate body, mind, and spirit.
A Thread of Connection
Conclude the ritual with the tying of a Tridatu bracelet—three sacred threads worn for spiritual balance and protection.
